Present

Book keynote

We’re always busy.
Always available.
Always on.

Our diaries are full, our minds even more so. We switch at lightning speed between meetings, messages and decisions. And yet we’re often not really here. Not in the conversation we’re having. Not in the work we’re doing. Not in the moment as it unfolds.

In the keynote ‘Present’, Johan Terryn invites us to reflect on an uncomfortable but essential question. How present am I, really? In my work. In my conversations. In the choices I make, day after day.

This keynote explores what happens when autopilot becomes the norm. When busyness is mistaken for importance. When focus becomes fragmented and mental capital slowly drains away. With sharp observations, relatable stories and functional humour, Johan holds up a clear mirror to us. Sometimes confrontational, often liberating, always human.‍

Johan slows things down where necessary, sharpens the focus where things are rubbing, and sets things in motion where they’re stuck. Not by pushing harder, but by looking more consciously. Because the real question isn’t how busy we are. The real question is where we are whilst we work. And whether we are prepared to consciously choose that again.‍‍

‘Aanwezig’ is also available as a live interview format at events. An in-depth conversation with a compelling guest, live in front of an audience, which is subsequently released as a podcast episode. This creates not only a powerful moment during your event, but also a story that lives on.
